Spinal Cord Was Severed in An Accident Last September
Herman Schreiber passed away at 2 o'clock this morning at his home in Walcott, Ia. Death resulted from an accident which occurred last September in which Mr. Schrieber sustained a complete severance of the spinal cord.
He was born Jan. 24, 1878, in Walcott and had lived there all his life. While working at his trade, that of a building contractor, on a scaffold, he fell to the ground, sustaining the injury which finally caused his death.
Mr. Schreiber was to have been married to Mrs. Louisa Rock of Walcott last September.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schreiber; two brothers, Carl and Gustav Schreiber, and six sisters, Mrs. J. H. Paarmann of Davenport, Mrs. Henry Betz, and Mrs. Earl McGinley, Bertha, Elsie and Mary Schreiber.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock (duped info) from the residence in Walcott. Interment will take place in Walcott cemetery.
