Mrs. Jacob Cooper, relict of Dr. Jacob Cooper, for many years a leading physician in Jonestown, died Thursday night, aged about 70 years. Deceased was a daughter of the late George Felty, who was for many years a resident of Bunker Hill and died some 40 years ago. For the past several years her health was poor and of late she ailed considerably until Thursday, when her condition became worse and death resulted, the cause being advance age and general debility. She was a good old woman, of a friendly disposition and her death will be regretted by many friends. She is survived by only one daughter, Mrs. Bender, wife of Druggist George H. Bender. A daughter, Mary Cooper, died in 1864. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church. [Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon County, Pa., Friday January 6, 1899, page 1]
