14 Feb 1933: George Bross, a retired farmer, aged 81 years, one time employed at the Mader Boiler Works in this city, died suddenly Monday evening at 5:30 o'clock at his home at Jonestown. He resided at his own home, in which Ralph R. Runkel and family are tenants. Bross had finished his supper with the Runkel's and was about to go to his room, when he fell over in the hallway. Runkel and Paul Young carried him to bed where he expired in a few minutes from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy. Dr. James A. Harris responded to a call promptly but the man was dead when he reached the house. Mr. Bross' wife, the former Lillie Mader, died ten years ago. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lillie Mulholland, of Jonestown. The deceased was the son of the late John and Lovina (Deck) Bross and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Jonestown, and the Jonestown Lodge of Odd Fellows. [Lebanon Daily News]
