Nina F. Christians, 84, died Nov. 21 at Hoisington Luthern Hospital, Hoisington. Born Nina F. Weeks on March 31, 1903 at Bunker Hill, she was married to John Christians on Dec. 25, 1943, in Russell County. He died April 17, 1951. A retired elementary school teacher, she was a lifetime resident of Bunker Hill and Beaver communities.
She was a member of Beaver Shannon Friends Church, Beaver Shannon Women's society, both of Beaver, she was a retired member of the Barton County Retired Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors included two stepsons Edward Christians of Newton and Robert Christians of Russell; two stepdaughters , Lola Wright of Stratford, Okla., and Myrtle Pitts of Claflin; three brothers Marion B. Weeks and Leland Weeks both of Hoisington and Glen E. Weeks of rural Russell; three sister Mary Figgins of Daytona, Fla., Jennie Harzman of Downs, and Iva May Whiteman of Atlanta, Kan,; 15 step grandchildren, and 18 step great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 1:30p.m.
