Obituary in the Mansfield News Journal of 1 Jan. 1993. Walter E. Beer, age 80, of McCauley Care Center, formerly of 1799 Park Avenue West; died at People's Hospital. Son of Charles and Christine Faughl Beer. Retired from Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. Army veteran of World War II. Survived by daughters -- Linda (Benton R.) Nunn, of Galion, and Julia (Roy E.) Dille, of Ontario; brother -- Lester Beer of Mansfield; sisters -- Ella Erhart and Alvena Holms, both of Mansfield. Preceded by wife -- Leona Beer in 1983; brothers -- Louis and Herman; sisters -- Bertha and Lucille.
