Obituary in the Mansfield News Journal of 31 Oct. 1996. Lester R. "Les" Beer, 76, of McCauly Care Center, died at MedCentral after a long illness. Son of Charles and Christina Beer. Retired from Westinghouse in 1978. Member of Eagles 336, Sons of Herman, and Owls Club. Veteran of the US Army. Survived by sisters -- Ella Erhart and Alvena Holmes. Preceded by sisters -- Bertha Au and Lucille Kelly; brothers -- Louie, Herman, and Walter.
