He was born July 2, 1944 at Fort Bragg, CA. He went to grammar school at Redwood Valley and graduated from Ukiah High School. He was employed as a timber faller and lumberjack. He also worked construction. He was a veteran and served in the 82nd airborn division. He was stationed in the Caribbean. He loved to hunt and fish. He was known to enjoy a good time and was also a good friend to many and a good neighbor.
Surviving are his sons: Terrell Abshire, Lorin Abshire, brothers; Dick "Smokey" Asbhire, Henry Abshire, parents Terrell Abshire, Katie Abshire all of Redwood City CA.
The family requests contributions be made to Teton and Lincoln County Search and Rescure Units and Redwood Valley Fire Dept. The donations can be made care of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls ID 83402, 208-522-2851.
