Florence May/Mae Winsell Thatcher, daughter of Dr. James Winsell and Rachel Emeline Coombs, was born 16 Feb 1861 at the family ranch on Battle Creek near Balls Ferry, Shasta, Calif. She married Alexander G. Thatcher, son of Ezekiel Thomas Thatcher and Catherine Ann Harrington, on 3 July 1884 in Millville, Shasta, Calif. Alexander and Florence lived at the Thatcher family ranch, Pine Grove, near Inwood and Shingletown, Shasta, Calif. Of their 4 children, sons Earl and Wallace are also buried in Parkville Cemetery. Florence died on 18 Aug 1905 at Pine Grove. "Heart trouble of long standing was the cause of death. Mrs. Thatcher had been afflicted for several years and her death was not unexpected." She is buried beside her husband in the Thatcher plot at Parkville Cemetery. Her brother George Winsell is also buried there.
