Services for Mildred Crawford, 87, of Monroe, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Nebo Methodist Church in Downsville, LA. Burial will be Mt. Nebo Cemetery near Downsville, LA. under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane in Monroe. Mrs. Crawford died Wednesday, November 5, 1997 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home.
Mrs. Crawford was a member of Stone Avenue Methodist Church in Monroe. She was also a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crawford. Survivors include five children: Joyce Rogers of Monroe, James Crawford and his wife, Jackie, of Meridian, MS, Peggy Chambers of Monroe, Joe Crawford and his wife Carolyn, of West Monroe and Bettie Brodie of Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and 12 noon until service time Saturday at the church.
