Thomas was youngest child, and only son, of Zachary Taylor & Malinda Belle (Lee) McGill, born in Russellville, Indiana but moving to Iowa as a young child with his parents & four sisters - Clara Belle, Martha Jane, Mary Margaret and Nancy Ann.
He married Mary Blanche "Mayme" McCreary on June 14, 1898 in Albia, IA. They became the parents of six children: an infant son, Larena, Thomas, Eva, Margaret, & Kenneth. They were divorced in 1917.
He then married Hattie Berdella Felger on July 26, 1919 in Osceola. She died April, 1933.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and infant son and is survived by the remaining five of his children,numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
