Services for Vivian Tibbitts, 81, of Atascadero will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Roses, Atascadero. The Rev. Melvin Scheoer will officiate. Burial will be in the Atascadero District Cemetery.
Mrs. Tibbitts died Saturday in a Templeton hospital. She was born in Turner, Maine on December 2, 1896. She was a teacher for 31 years, teaching for two years in Maine, then moving to California where she taught in Oceano for three years. She taught in King City for 26 years and had lived in the county since 1920.
She was a past Noble Grand member of the King City Rebekah Lodge and a member of Circle One of the Community Church of Atascadero. She is survived by a brother, Raymond Beals of Hayfork, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or the Community Church of Atascadero Memorial Fund.
