Born to Samuel E. Alger the 1rst and Lucretia Skutt, Enos was truly and outdoorman whos family where Pioneers who came to Michigan from Lockport, Niagra Co. New York.
Enos Grandfather and Grandmother, Emery W. Alger and Elizabeth Dodge Alger were the first people to be married in Portage Ohio in 1821. At the age three Enos lost his father Samuel in the Civil War, and his mother Lucretia struggled to raise her two young boys, Enos and Myron.
