‎ ‎ ‎ NAMPA - Ellis Bennion Chase, 44, of 804 Eleventh avenue south, died Saturday morning in a Nampa hospital of a stroke. He had been in ill health for several months.
‎ ‎ ‎ Mr. Chase was born Sept. 9, 1910, in Maser, Utah. He was married June 22. 1937, at Blackfoot to Audrey Wardle. He had been manager of the shoe department of Van Engelen's department store in Nampa for two years.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was a member of the LDS Fourth ward church and had held several offices In auxiliaries of the church.
‎ ‎ ‎ Surviving in addition to Mrs. Chase are three sons. Kenneth W., Dale W. and Roger W. Chase, all at home; two daughters, Audrey Ann and Carolyn Chase, both at home; six brothers, Ferron B. Chase of Marsing, Nephi B. of Dayton, Idaho, Wilford B. of Rigby and Amos B., Ernest B. and Arthur B. Chase, all of Pocatello, and three sisters, Mrs. Volney Boswell of Altamont, Utah, Mrs. Vernal Facer of Logan, Utah, and Mrs. Jay Booth of Pocatello. ‎ ‎ ‎
‎ ‎ ‎ Services will be conducted at the Fourth ward church Tuesday at 2 p.m. Bishop Elmer Anderson will officiate and interment will be at Kohlerlawn.
