EUREKA-Jasper H. Johnson, 88, of Bel-wood Nursing Home , Peoria, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday at the home.


His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Otto-Argo Funeral Home, Eureka, the Rev. Philip Merrett officiating. Burial will be in Olio Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.


He was born June 23, 1889, in Eureka, a son of Albert and Anna Ludeman Johnson. He married Rena A. Warnkes Jan. 11 , 1911, in Benson. She died March 1, 1973.


Surviving are a son, Wilferd, Peoria; a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Crider, Peoria; two half brothers, John Sloter, Eureka, and Harry Sloter, Secor; a half sister, Mrs. Grace Porth, Secor; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren.


Four borthers, two sisters and two half brothers preceded him in death.


Memorials may be made to the Eureka Rescue Squad.


He was a retired farmer and mechanic.
