Wm. Henry Drage. Was born in England Sept. 28, 1847, and departed this life near Soldier, Kansas,Oct. 21, 1909, aged 62 years, 27 days. He with his parents came to America in 1864, living in Illinois about 15 years, about thirty years ago they located in America City, Kansas. He was married three times. In 1867 he married Sarah L. McClain to them were born one child, his second marriage to was to Melvina Decker in 1871, to them were born 5 children. He was married to Angleline Alexander in 1881 to this union were born ten children, 6 girls and 4 boys. He leaves a wife and fourteen children and 28 grandchildren, also his aged father to mourn their loss His father, wife and ten children attended the funeral .... last resting place in the America City cemetery .... death was from an abscess
on the brain, and this was caused by a blow on the head by a belt on the threshing machine. It was nearly two weeks from the time of the accident until the injury developed sufficiently to stop him from work .... Soldier Clipper, November 3, 1909.
