THELMA M. BROLLIER
CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Thelma M. Brollier, 89, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at her residence in Chandler.
She was born Jan. 23, 1911, to Clarence and Mary (Smith) Grant in Wichita.
She married Stanley Edgar "Ed" Brollier, Dec. 1, 1928, in Colorado. He died Jan. 14, 1987.
She was a retired county treasurer for Haskell County. She moved from Haskell County to Arkansas and then to Oklahoma City, Okla. In 1981, she moved to Liberal. In recent years, she has lived in Chandler to be near family members.
She was a 60-year member of the Order of Eastern Star of Satanta. She was also a former member of Central Christian Church in Liberal.
She enjoyed quilting, and made 19 quilts in 10 years time, to give to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Grant E. Brollier and wife, Barbara, Bellevue, Neb.; two daughters, LaVerne E. Sanders and husband, Bill, Tonto Verde, Ariz.; and Elvie Quint and husband, Clarence, Liberal; seven grandchildren, Eugene Quint, Ronald Quint, Rhonda Zimmerman, Maria Abel, Cheryl Reed, Gary Brollier and Karen Brollier; 17 great grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Frank, Clarence, Leo and Gale; one sister, Myrtle Thomas and her husband.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kitch Funeral Home Chapel in Liberal with the Rev. David Woods presiding.
Burial will follow at the Dudley Cemetery in Satanta.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday with the family present to receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association in care of Kitch Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, KS 67901.
