Mrs. Henry Aney

Mrs. Alice Aney, aged 74, of Hartwick Seminary, died Wednesday evening at the Clark Nursing Home in Oneonta.
She was born January 14, 1889, in Schenevus, the daughter of Morrell and Josephine (Hoose) Mowers. She was married to Henry A. Aney on January 13, 1909. He died November 25, 1939.
Mrs. Aney was a member of the Milford Methodist Church and was a former member of the Home Bureau.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lilah Meehan of Hartwick Seminary; three sons, Kenneth R. Aney of Milford, Lynn Wesley Aney of Cooperstown, and Henry Aney, Jr. of Cooperstown; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Mrs. Sarah Applegate of Center Village; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday from the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Philip Pitcher, pastor of the Milford Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be later in Hartwick Seminary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon on Thursday.
