WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- Mr. J. C. Bailey, 84, of Woodstock, formerly of Valley, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at his daughter's residence.
Funeral services were held Sunday Aug. 26 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Tom Roberts officiating. Burial followed in Fairfax Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Elsie D. Bailey; his daughter, Brenda Dano of New Orleans, La.; his step- daughter, Wynona Smith of Woodstock; two grandchildren, Ben Diano Jr., of New Orelans, and Rhonda Suzanne McCullough of Canton, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Christen Suzanne McCoullough, Chris Matthew McCullough, Jr., and Kim Diano; two brothers, James Bailey and Bill Bailey, both of Valley; and his sister, Lois Brambeloe of Pennsylvania.
Born Dec. 24, 1916 in Randolph county, Ala., Mr. Bailey was a veteran of World War II, where he served with the U. S. Navy. He was a retired employee of WestPoint Pepperell's Fairfax Mill. He was a member of Fairfax Untied Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Lizzie Rainey Bailey and Tom Bailey.
