"Alfred Denah Gabbert, 72, of route No. 1, Liberty, Mo., died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eva B. Littlejohn, route 2, Liberty. He had been a resident of Clay County fifty-eight years. For several years he operated a service station on highway No. 71 bypass, near Nashua, in addition to farming. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Malissa Frances Gabbert of the home; two sons, Jesse C. Gabbert and C. Thomas Gabbert, both of route No. 2, Liberty; another daughter, Mrs. Georgia McKay of North Kansas City; a brother, E. S. Gabbert of Olympia, Wash.; and three sisters, Mrs. America Chappel and Mrs. Dosha Wisler of Troy, Kas., and Mrs. Laura Gabbert of North Kansas City." The Kansas City Times, January 1, 1945
