He was born April 15, 1928, in Signal Mountain, Tenn., to Lassie and Walter Hardyman. He was a retired master sergeant, serving 21 years in the U. S. Army, including the Korean War. He married Claudine Brooks in 1965 in Las Cruces, N.M. She preceded him in death in 1990. He had been a resident of Big Spring since 1996, coming from San Antonio.
He is survived by one son, Jon Hardyman of Ft. Stockton; two daughters, Jan Whitehead and her husband Ray of Big Spring and Linda Berwald of Blythe, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
In addidion to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Frank Brooks; five brothers; and one sister.
