Sister MARGARET STARRY, aged 74 years, departed this life on the morning of the 8th of August, in the bright hope of immortality and eternal life.
She was a good, kind and loving mother, and an exemplary Christian. She has been pleading the Master's cause for thirty-four years. The writer was called to preach her funeral, and in the midst of a large concourse of friends, we spoke from the declaration of the Savior on the cross, "It is finished." Her dear old companion and children sorrow, but not as those who have no hope. Lord help us all to live faithful, that we may meet her on the evergreen shore.
Your brother in Christ,
JOHN E. NICHOLSON.
