Funeral services for Guy Minatra, 81, retired Bunker Hill farmer, were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Pulaski Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. J. W. McCullough, with the burial in family lot in Maplewood Cemetery. Mr. Minatra died at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, June 6, at his home.
Born September 22, 1881, in Giles County, he was the son of the late David W. Minatra and Frances Bennett Minatra. His wife, Mrs. Mary Cardin Minatra, died in 1952.
Mr. Minatra is survived by six sons, Oliver Minatra, Nashville, Claude Minatra and Joe Minatra, Pulaski, William Minatra, Columbia, David Minatra, Fayetteville, Ga., and Bob Minatra, Memphis; four daughters, Mrs. James Mansfield, Pulaski, Mrs. A. J. Burke and Mrs. Edward Cobb, Nashville, and Mrs. Thomas Newman, Athens, Ala.; twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Minatra, Clay Minatra and Tullo Minatra, all of the Bunker Hill Community; and six sisters, Mrs. Morgan Sumners, Mrs. Lacey Loyd, Mrs. Mahlon McCracken and Mrs. Raymond Harwell, all of Giles County, Mrs. Foster Osborne, Nashville, and Mrs. Jim Poston, Fayetteville.
