Anita Delia Byrd died at the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH on August 26, 2001. She was born on February 6, 1925 in Barton, VT; the daughter of George and Mary Ann (Brooks) Bousquet.

She attended schools in Barton and Bellows Falls, VT. She lived in Bellows Falls for 37 years and in Claremont for the past two years.

She worked as a clerk at the A.J. Hines Clothing Store in Bellows Falls for 13 years. She was a former member of the Bellows Falls Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, quilting of all kinds, ceramics, Thanksgiving dinners and especially loved her great-grandkids.

She married Marriswell Eugene Byrd on March 31, 1945 in Rockingham, VT.

Survivors include her husband, Marriswell Eugene Byrd of Claremont; one daughter, Shirley J. Walsh; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Aldridge of Springfield, VT and Claire Shaughnessy of North Walpole; two brothers, George Bousquet of Bellows Falls, and Richard Bousquet of Hialeah, FL; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Morris Bousquet, Leo Bousquet, Pete Bousquet and Phil Bousquet; and one sister, Irene McDermott.

Burial is in St Mary's Cemetery.
