Catawba, N.C. - Rosa Lee Poovey Miller, 94, of Catawba, went to her Heavenly home Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Abernethy Laurels in Newton.

Born Jan. 26, 1914, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Lee Poovey and Hettie Nolen Witherspoon Poovey.

She retired from the hosiery industry as a looper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Wendy" Miller; an infant child; three brothers; and two sisters.
