Bio

My name is Jeanni Gill. I started doing genealogy 04/08 and now I'm an addict. I started with my family and moved on to my husband's family. His family is from the area that we live in, so it's real convient for me to go to local cemeteries. It's fun in a weird way.My mom's family is from the Rock Hill, York Co., SC area for many generations. Those family names include Anderson, Dillingham, Shepard, Millsaps, Phillips and Lockridge. From NC Ennis, Munns, Wheeler. I am also a descendant of Col. Frederick Hambright on my maternal grandmothers side. And, somewhere in there is a Cherokee Connection, but I have found it yet. So, my European ancestors and my Native ancestors beat up each other, but so did just about everyone elses. Mostly, English, Welch, Scotch/Irish, German. I can put together a good part of my ancestry with the Graham County Heritage Book.>My father's side is also from the Gastonia, NC/ York, SC My husband's family is very much the same. His father's family is from Iredell Co., NC for generations. Those family names are Gill, Tomlin(son), Millsaps, Lawrence, Allison, Young, Summers and Mayberry.

His mom's side is from Erie,PA. Those names include Anderson, Hazzard and some other ones I'm not remembering off the top of my head right now.
