Elsie C. Lutes

Mrs. Fred G. Lutes, aged 62, of 1215 East Madison street, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after two weeks' illness. She was born in Kosciusko county, Aug. 20, 1885, and came here 28 years ago form Warsaw, Ind.

She leaves her husband, Fred G. Lutes; six children, Cloyce, Eloise, Naomi, Glen, Lester and Warren, all at home; two brothers, Homer and Oscar Correll, of Pierceton, Ind.; and five sisters, Mrs. Rena Decker and Mrs. Laura Black, of Warsaw; Mrs. Anna Smith of Mishawaka, Mrs. Estella Miller of North Webster, Ind., and Mrs. Blanche Hertel of South Bend.

She was a member of Lowell Heights Methodist Episcopal church and was president of its women's aid society. The body will lie in the A. M. Russell chapel until noon Wednesday when it will be taken to the residence to lie until noon Thursday, then will be taken to Lowell Heights church to lie from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral will take place in Lowell Heights church at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Mortimer C. Dean, pastor, in charge. Interment will be in Southlawn cemetery.
