Services were held in the Princeville Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Mann officiating. Burial was in Princeville Cemetery. Bouton-Hammitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were William Banks, David Moore, Byron Wear, Cecil Dallinger, Eldon Calhoun and John Pletkovich.
She was born in Sibley, November 18, 1920, a daughter of Thurman J. and Florence Fisher Fulton. She married Donald Sears in Sibley June, 1951.
Surviving are her husband; her mother of Sibley; a brother, Robert of Sibley; and five sisters, Mrs. Clara Mae Anliker and Mrs. Helen Underwood, both of Sibley, Mrs. Thelma Wurzburger of Melvin, Mrs. Ruth Farney of Strawn and Mrs. Muriel Burns of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Sears was a graduate of the University of Illinois, majoring in mathematics. She taught mathematics in Princeville Community High School for 23 years and was the adviser to the School's National Honor Society.
She was a member of the National Education Association, Illinois Education Association, National Council of Math Teachers and the Illinois Council of Math Teachers.
She last taught March 23, 1972.
