Fanny was a daughter of Rev John and Appolina (Ploney/Westfall) Wintermote. She was born in New Jersey and came with her family to Darke County, Ohio in 1820.
She married Peter Elston and they had a daughter, Sarah Jane, born Dec 29, 1823. Fanny apparently died during childbirth, or soon after.

According to The Wintermute Family History, Fanny is buried in the plot with her father. Her stone is rough and unmarked.
