Mrs. I.E. (Jennie) Stickelman, 80, died at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital at 6 am Saturday after having suffered a heart attack about six weeks ago. She had been able to return to her home on June 14, but was returned to the hospital June 24 where she remained until she passed away.
She was a native of Savannah, Ia., but spent most of her lifetime at Clarinda, the present home being at 814 E. Tarkio St.
She and her husband had the happy occasion to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary recently. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Mrs. Ray Laura) Hughes, Indianola; Howard D. Stickelman, Barstow, Calif.; Mrs. Wendell (Marian) Davison and Keith Stickelman, Clarinda; three brothers are Elbert E. Lister and Charles Lister, of Clarinda and Walter Lister, Denver, Colo.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Walker Funeral Home at 3 pm Wednesday, with the Rev. Alvin Reed of Clearmont Christian Church in charge, assisted by Preacher Clarence Potter of the New Market Church of Christ. Soloist at the service will be Mrs. Alvin Reed and the organist will be Miss Aletha Hutchings. Flower bearers will be Corda Fuller, Forna Fuller, Mrs. Frank Van Pelt, Mrs. Earl Pearson, Mrs. Merle Harland.
Honorary casket bearers will be Fred McIntyre, George Crawford, Jesse Brown, Thomas Harris, Earl Pearson, George Stanley, Bob Malcom, and George Alexnder. Active casket bearers will be Wade Crawford, Cecil Hayes, Harry Wenell, Frank Van Pelt, and Merle Harland.
