Catherine (Wytas) Cyr, 84, of Windsor, wife of Raymond J. Cyr for 64 years, passed away on Wednesday (September 24, 2008).
She was born in Stafford Springs on May 12, 1924 to the late Jacob and Catherine (Kelley) Wytas. She was employed in the printing department of The Travelers Insurance Co. Catherine was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church as well as a member of the Traveler's Women's Club and the Women's Club of St. Gabriel's Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond J. Cyr of Windsor; her sons, Raymond J. Cyr, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Manchester and Thomas A. Cyr of Windsor; her granddaughter, Danielle Cyr; her sisters, Helen Dalton and Mary Pavelski; her brothers, Jacob Wytas and Matthew Wytas. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Barbara Cyr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor. Friends will be received one hour prior from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
