Mattie C. Comer, 81, of 1207 Afton Street, died at 6:05 p.m. yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. L. Corine Shell, Elizabethton, after a long illness.
Survivors include two other daughters. Mrs. L. B. Rushing, Knoxville; and Mrs. O. B. Gosnell, Long Beach, California; four sons, Newman Comer, Marion, N.C.; Noel Henry Comer; Wiley and R. G. Comer, Johnson City; a sister, Mrs. Isephine Osborne, Mt. Vernon, Ill.; two brothers, Rev. John Campbell, Sabetha, Kan.; Wade Campbell, Tucson, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
