Edward Freelend died Sunday morning at the Central City Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1898 near Palmer to Fred and Minnie Glause Freelend. He attended Merrick County Public Schools.
He married the former Pearl Peck on Dec. 23, 1926 at Central City. He was a member of the Christian Church.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Robert of Central City; one sister, Mrs. Ella Verplank of Palmer; two brothers, Fred of Clarks and Henry of Carthage, Mo., and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
