Mrs. Inez Ackland, 72, 232 Sherman Ave. died Oct. 31 at Mary Greeley Hospital.
Services are Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Medden of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial is in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Born July 5, 1902 in Custer County, Okla., she came to Ames in 1914. Mrs. Ackland was a graduated of Ames High School. She was employed as a cook in several Ames restaurants. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Orin, a daughter, Bonnie Reger, Prairie City, two brothers, Floyd M. Peterson, 1128 Carroll Ave., Delbert C. Peterson, 1206 Burnett Ave., two grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister, and a granddaughter.
The body will be in state Sunday at the Adams Funeral Home.
