Funeral Held At Wrightsboro For Miss Rockett
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 for Miss Rachel Rockett, who died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Arthur Mimms Saturday morning. She was 48 years old and had been residing in Gonzales with her sister for the past 15 years, her home having been at Wrightsboro.
Brief services were held at the Robertson and Seydler chapel and from there the body was taken to the church at Wrightsboro where a large number had gathered for the services there. She was a member of the First Methodist church here and Rev.Clift M. Epps, pastor of the church, conducted the services.
She is survived y five sisters, and two brothers, Mrs. Arthur Mimms, Gonzales; Mrs. J. J. Gatlin, Five Miles; Mrs. J. S. Buchanan, Mrs. J. V. Caraway and. Mrs. M. V. Henry of Wrightsboro; J. C. Rockett, Wrightsboro and J. M. Rockett of Five Mile.
