BAXTER – Funeral services for Otto Herron, 80, of Baxter will be held today, July 23, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Herron died Friday, July 21, 1995, at Cookeville General Hospital.
Born July 18, 1915, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Robert Samuel and Mary Susan Fisher Herron.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ and worked at Wilson Sporting Goods and was a farmer.
His family includes his wife, Jewell Herron of Baxter; a daughter and soninlaw, Jimmy and Charlene Herron of Florida; a son, Jackie Herron of IN; a sister, Amanda Boatman of Cookeville; grandchildren Beverly Hall, Barry Anderson, Jeff Herron, Jill Lee, Tammy Taylor and Phillips Herron; and seven greatgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jerry Herron, and a great grandchildren Brian and Brandi Herron.
