Andy's birth certificate says he was b. on the 26th, at Chevington, Northumberland. The town isn't on the drop-down list; perhaps it went defunct when the colliery was closed. A Ziegler newspaper article dated December 16, 1927 says that Andy died "early Tuesday morning" about 4:30 am. Tuesday would have been December 13. I know that this conflicts with the Illinois Statewide death index, but that index is incorrect.
