BOWDON, GA -- Lila Fincher Stewart, 91, of Bowdon died Friday, 18 Jan 2002 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.
Mrs. Stewart was born 22 Aug 1910 in Randolph County, AL, daughter of the late Joseph William and Georgia Ramsey Fincher. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lindsey Stewart, and by an infant daughter.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Stewart of Roopville, GA and Curtis Stewart of Bowdon, GA; three daughters, Patsy Daniel of Newell, AL, Betty Shelton of Woodland, AL and Marvolene Smith of Ranburne, AL; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services were 3 p.m. Sunday, 20 Jan 2002 at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev Darnell Teal, Rev Jackie Traylor, Mr. Judson Bell and Rev Roy Wysner officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Newell, AL (Randolph County).
Music was furnished by the church choir. Pallbearers were Greg Daniel, Tim Shelton, Scott Harrington, Tommy Bradford, Tim Caldwell and Jamie Smith.
Arrangements were by Rainwater and West Funeral Home, Bowdon.
