BROTHER OF LOCAL MAN DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

Clarence E. Baughman, 82, retired notions store owner of Decatur, died at 5 p.m. Thursday in Huntington at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Leroy H. Bonifas, with whom he had been visiting since Sunday. He became seriously ill Monday.

A native of Jay County, Mr. Baughman had been in business in Decatur 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Joseph Sowards, Bluffton; six grandchildren; three brothers, Charles of Ridgeville, James of Redkey and Lester, Portland, and a sister, Mrs. Addie Stewart, near Redkey.

Services will be conducted at Decatur at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, and burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. The body is at the Black Funeral Home.
