George Wendell Nebeker, died in Salt Lake City UT Dec 22, 1992.
Funeral services were Dec 24. 1992 at the Larkin Mortuary. Interment followed at the Fairview Cemetery in Star Valley.
He was born Feb 21, 1916 at Fairview, WY to Roy and Estella Lanfear Nebeker.
He attended school at Fairview and graduated from the Star Valley High School in Afton. He attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and received a degree in elementary education. He was veteran of World War II. When he was discharged form the service, he worked for the Bureau of Reclamation. Ill health forced his retirement. He loved the outdoors and spent much time in the forests.
He wrote much poetry and received awards for it.
He has resided at the Fay Case Nursing Home for many years and made many friends there.
He is survived by a sister Mrs Lyle (Melba) Bissegger of Pocatello, ID and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
