Harry's birth name was Henry, but he always went by Harry. He was the son of John F. Moninghoff, a boatman on the Delaware Canal, and Frances K. Fingeldie Moninghoff.

He married a woman named Helen, whose surname is unknown. They had at least one son, Richard Francis, in 1927.

Harry lived in Nockamixon Twp., Bucks Co., Pennsylvania.

He was a paper maker at the paper mill across the Delaware River in Milford, Hunterdon Co., New Jersey. Later he worked as a machinist at Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg, Warren Co., New Jersey.

Sincere thanks go to Dolores Maxwell for finding, photographing and uploading the gravestone photo.
