Funeral services for Marilyn Louise Farmer Fortenberry will be 10:30 a.m.,
Friday, July 7, 2017 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment at
Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m.,
Thursday, July 6, at Riverwood and will resume at 9:00 a.m. Friday at Riverwood.

Mrs. Marilyn Fortenberry, 90, of Braxton, MS, went to be with the Lord on
July 4, 2017. She was born on June 27, 1927, to the late Franklin Charles and
Lillian Reed Loflin Gatlin. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and
Cato Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Ladies Prayer Group.
Mrs. Fortenberry enjoyed cooking for her family and she also enjoyed a good book.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Millard Farmer and
Robert Clifton Fortenberry; her parents; brothers, Charles Gatlin, Kenneth Gatlin,
Johnnie Gatlin, Roy Gatlin, and Ray Gatlin; and sisters, Edna Earl Dearman and Rose Barnett.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah (Debby) Magee and husband, Harvey, Anita Feherty and husband David; sons, Kirby Fortenberry and wife Bessie, Rance Fortenberry and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Heather Buitt and husband Buster, Heath Magee and wife Kortney, George Fortenberry and wife Brandy, Sandra Fortenberry, Kim Richardson and husband Pepper, Kirby Lackey, Christie Huddleston
and husband Jay, Robin Dietrick and husband Jon, Fred Schneider, Karl Schneider and wife Lindsey, and Erin Feherty. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Daniel Taylor Buitt, Anna Grace Buitt, Brax Miller Buitt, Abby Kate Magee, Hunter Heath Magee, Mary Miley Magee,
Joshua Huddleston, Braxton Robert Fortenberry, Clifton Bernard Fortenberry, Aiden Schneider, Asher Schneider, Kristin James, Nicole Tatum and Jamie Brunet.
