Georgia Grubb, age 90, of Gosport, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the residence of her daughter in Gosport.
She was born October 26, 1917, in Marshall, Illinois, the daughter of George Higgins and Hallie Whitaker Higgins.
She married Fred Grubb. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter - Betty Ogburn and husband, Mark, Gosport, and Brenda Foss and husband, Don, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law - Katherine Grubb, Ft. Worth, Texas; 6 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; and several great and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son - Burnard Grubb; and brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Grubb was a homemaker and had also worked in nursing homes in Illinois.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 3, at 7 p.m. at Chandler-Whittaker Funeral Home in Gosport.
