Harm "Cleve" Hayes, 83, a resident of Hidden Acres Drive in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, September 5 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Graveside services for Mr. Hayes will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, September 7 at the McClain Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19

The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Hayes was born in Lewis County, son of the late Leonard and Rena Holder Hayes and the husband of the late Ruth Eppy Hayes. He worked in construction and was an avid coon hunter, a member of the Peoria, IL Coon Hunters Association and a musician. He was a US Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sisters: Dorothy Wood and Marlene Kirk, both of Mt. Pleasant; his brothers: Earl Hayes and Dalton Hayes, both of Mt. Pleasant; special niece: Laney Cothran of Mt. Pleasant; special nephew: Alvin (Fran) Hayes of Summertown; several other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Russell Cothran, Bill Cothran, Grady Hayes, Richard Hayes, Alvin Hayes and Jimmy Roland.
