Death of Mrs. Richard Park
Mrs. Richard Park, after an illness of six months passed away at her home in the Pisgah neighborhood, Monday morning at 12:00.
Mrs. Park was born near the spot where she died seventy-three years ago. She was married twice previous to her last marriage. Her first marriage was to Samuel Dragoo, who died some twenty years ago. To this union were born six children, all of whom survive. They are Clifford of this city, Abram, Bert and Mrs. Harriett Coy of Pisgah, and Daily and Orien (? – hard to read) of Oklahoma.
Her second husband was the late Dr. Read, father of John Read, of this city. Her marriage to Richard Park occurred about a year ago.
Mrs. Parks was a member of the Pisgah M. E. church. She had always been an earnest worker in the church and was a lady whose sterling Christian character was worthy of the emulation of others… The remains were entered in the Pisgah cemetery. [sic- d.c. showed Pritchard Cem which all burials were relocated to Atterbury in later years].
