He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a painter at Delco Air in Dayton.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Hubert and Kenneth, both of Middletown; five daughters, Miss Debbie McIntosh, Mrs. Faye Wells and Mrs. Loretta Jo Simpson, all of Middletown, Mrs. Michelle Coffey of Franklin and Mrs. Marcia Miller of Blanchester; four step daughters, Mrs. Nancy Castle and Mrs. Brenda Lainhart, both of Middletown, and Mrs. Ruth Jones and Mrs. Thelma Henderson, of Rochester, Mich.; a stepson, Robert Hipp of Middletown; two sisters, Mrs. Earlene Free of Middletown and Mrs. Louise Barrett of Richmond, Ky.; a brother, Silas of Booneville, Ky., and 13 grandchildren.
The Rev. Harold Thompson will officiate services Wednesday. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, with graveside military rites performed by American Legion Post 218. -Ohio newspaper Western Star ? 18 Sep 1989
