Asa S. Henkle was the son of Jacob Henkle, Jr. & Elizabeth Forsee who died in Clark Co., OH. His parents were Jacob Henkel, Sr. and Mary Barbara Teter, who pioneered in North Carolina, but came back to VA and Maryland and located in Hampshire Co., West Virginia where he died Feb. 14, 1779. Jacob Henkel, Sr. was the second child of John Justus Henkel & Magdalena Eschmann.
Asa S. Henkle had siblings named: David Henkel, Nancy Henkel, John Henkel, Reuben Henkel, Delilah Henkel, & Seth Henkel. Asa was the youngest child.
Asa S. Henkle married fist in OH to Sarah Plummer and they had one child named Jacob Titus Henkle and Sarah Plummer died in Ohio. Asa S.
