Joe Deal, 66, 824 West Thomas, died late Wednesday afternoon at Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Sweeney-Reser Chapel. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery.

Masonic services will be at seven o'clock tonight at the funeral chapel; visitation anytime.

Mr. Deal was born in Saline County, October 10, 1907, the son of Maurice Deal, Sr., and the late Emma Wright Deal.

He was married in Huntsville, January 1, 1931 to Sue Spencer who survives of the home. Mr. Deal was a member of the First Christian Church in Marshall. He was a member of the Oriental Masonic Lodge of Blackburn and was a former member of the Ararat Shrine in Kansas City. Mr. Deal was a veteran of World War II and had farmed in the Mount Leonard community before moving to Marshall.

Surviving besides his wife and father, are a brother, Percy Deal of St. Paul, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.
