Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sweeney-Reser Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Maurice was born July 30, 1883 in Saline County near Mount Leonard, the son of J. H. Deal and Florence Fulkerson Deal. He was married Sept. 23, 1905 in Mount Leonard to Emma B. Wright who died Nov. 22, 1972.
He was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and stockman until retiring in 1964, and moving to Marshall.
Surviving are a son, Percy Deal, St. Paul, Minn., and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph M. Deal and Lawrence; and four brothers.

Services for Joseph Maurice Deal Sr., 94, who died Monday night, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sweeney-Reser Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Christy Oetting, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiated. Mrs. Travis Bullington, organist, accompanied Mrs. Marty Bryan, who sang "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art."
Burial was in the Ridge Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Howard Deal, Homer Deal, Rea Deal, E.O. Fischer, Roy Donnell, and Robert Conner.
