Funeral services for James Milton Byars, 87, Decatur 3, were held today at 2 p.m. at Brown's chapel.
Rev. O.B. Sansbury, Scottsboro and Rev. W.W. Coffey conducted the services and interment followed in the Bald Knob Cemetery, Brown directing.
Mr. Byars died Sunday morning at his home after an illness of approximately one year.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Byars, Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. F.O. Smith; Miss Aleene Byars, and Mrs. Cecil M. Young, all of Decatur; two sons, Frederick Dudley Byars, and W. Irby Byars, both of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie McKelvy, Albany, Texas; Mrs. Ida Thompson, Fort Worth, Texas and Mrs. Mary Daly, Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of the Memorial Drive Methodist Church.
