Nadine Couch, 90, of Big Spring died Tuesday, September 02, 2008, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Goree Cemetery in Goree, Texas with Chaplain Walter McCall, Compass Hospice, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
She was born February 27, 1918, in Vashti, Texas to Elta and Floyd Kirk. Nadine married William Taylor Couch on February 9, 1936, in Seymour, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1983. She moved to Andrews from Goree in 1963, then to Big Spring in 1984. She was a homemaker.
Nadine is survived by two sons: Monty Couch and his wife Leslie of Odessa, and Danny Couch of Andrews; three daughters: Shirly Smith of Roswell, New Mexico, Marylon Montgomery and her husband Jimmy of Big Spring, and Pamela Boren of Watauga, Texas; one sister: Fay Lambeth of Munday, Texas; 10 grandchildren: Billy Smith, Susan Smith, Ray Rye, Sheila Montgomery, Ricky Boren, Michael Couch, Monty P. Couch, Michelle Couch, Tiffany Couch, and Danny Lee Couch, Jr.; 16 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren; and two special caregivers: Joyce Arceneaux and Marie Medina.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Sharon Kay Couch in 1964.
Pallbearers will be Michael Couch, Monty Couch, Michael Shockley, Ricky Boren, Jimmy Rye and Richard Rye
